Description

This intermediate stretch is a less-ridden portion of the Biology Trails but it's very fun. The trail mixes in short, steep climbs and quick descents. There are also pumps, jumps, and berms.

The terrain is a mix of areas with hard-packed dirt and areas of small, loose rocks. The first time you ride this area, the lack of familiarity will be your enemy. On subsequent trips, it will be easier to keep your speed and momentum up which will help you use less energy.

As you head south (right to left on the map trail map) turn left onto Southern Mission. This is the trail's best flow. The named trail abruptly ends in a sweeping horseshoe turn and becomes Forest by name only. You'll think you are still on Southern Mission. Forest will drop you back into Mid-Ridge.
