Overview

Route for the second running of the Singlespeed Smackdown starting at Mulberry Gap and hitting Mountaintown Creek Trail, P1, and P2.

Stand and Mash!

Description

Leave Mulberry Gap and go left on Conasauga Rd. Take the next right onto FS68 and start climbing and climb and climb and climb all the way to Potato Patch. Go right and ride for about 6 miles to Mountaintown Creek Trail and descend. Go right on the pavement then right on Bear Creek Road (FS 241) to the parking area. Go LEFT (do not go straight to P1!) and climb Bear Creek trail, passed the connector, all the way to the steel gate on Bear Creek. Descend Bear Creek to P1 and go right. Finish P1 and go left on the FS road then take an immediate right onto another FS road to P2. Ride P2 back to Conasauga Rd. and go right back to Mulberry Gap.

History & Background

This ride is organized by the Singlespeed Militia and Mulberry Gap Mountain Bike Getaway. All proceeds go to support the trails and local high school mountain bike racing.
