Overview

This ride is a little bit of everything. Gravel road, a little pavement, some old primitive forest service road, followed by some fantastic, ridge-top singletrack.

Description

Park and the pulloff on Greene Mountain Road, across from where Greene Mountain Horse Trail #13 ends. Ride Greene Mountain Road towards Viking Mountain Road. Make a left on Viking Mountain Road. Continue to climb Viking Mountain Road past where the pavement ends.

At 5.4 miles, in a sharp switchback, take a left on the gated Firescald Road #358. Continue on #358 for 0.9 miles. Take a left on Kennedy Cabin Road #358a. At 7.1 miles, take a left on Greene Mountain Horse Trail #13. The trail starts out as doubletrack then turns to singletrack. At 7.4 miles, merge onto a grassy doubletrack. Follow this until it turns back into singletrack as the trail runs along the ridge. At 10.1 miles, there is a 50-75 yard steep hike-a-bike.

From the top, its a fun, fast descent back down to Greene Mountain Road #98 and your vehicle.

Solid climb but not a ton of reward. More suited for horses than bikes. Overgrown right now significantly in some spots and doesn't seem used much. 10.8mi
