Description

This is a local favorite. It's a tough 2.5 mile climb that has many tricky technical sections (loose rocks, boulders, a few tight switchbacks). It will surely challenge a wide range of riders, and it has some fast flowy downhill as well.

Looking back down Chumash from the junction with Rocky Peak Trail (crossing in the foreground). A perfect cross-country / down-country descent with technical rocky outcroppings and smooth but often narrow singletrack all the way to the bottom.

Looking up the last rock wall before the junction at Rocky Peak Trail (which you can see in the upper left). One of the hardest sections to clean, and a good challenge coming back down, too.

Looking up into the last couple hundred yards before the junction with Rocky Peak Trail. This last stretch offers half a dozen small rocky sections, a couple are deceptively tricky. Good challenge, great fun!
