Need to Know
Very narrow sections. Sections of the trail are less-than one foot in width. You must time your pedaling to avoid large rocks along trail. If you make a mistake on this trail at speed, you are in trouble.
Description
The trail starts on the
Burro Byway trail just south of the
Turquoise Mine Trail. It starts out pretty flat and narrow then crosses a couple of washes which require you to navigate drops and sharp turns.
At about the haft way point you cross the large brain wash which is close to the large ridge to the west. This wash crossing and a short distance past will likely require you to walk your bike. Very scenic but go slow because few travel here.
After this you do a bit more flowing. You'll come to a big ramp that leads to a high point and nice view. You wonder who would make this ramp in the middle of nothing?
You now go gradually downhill to a large wash crossing, which may require you to walk, depending on the year.
Lastly, you travel a narrow downhill through a scenic rock garden to the intersection of the
Orocopia and
Hi Choppers trail. You have completed the Brain from North to South.
