Flow
Description
Mostly easy singletrack. It is fast and flowing with nice views along the way. It is very common to see burros on this trail.
It starts at the intersection of the Turquoise Mine trail and the
Scary Trail. Almost immediately, it takes a large ramp down into a large wash and up the other side. You may need to walk this section depending on the condition of the wash.
After this section, you'll go down into a little drainage and the intersection of the
Brain Wash Trail. Stay left for the Byway Trail, go right to start the very technical
Brain Wash.
You are now at the high point of the Byway, and you start your way through a large rock field. The trail here is fun and flowing. It is well marked.
At about a mile, you start your way down with a couple of large switchbacks. It continues down and fast before coming to two small, very sandy washes. Then back up for a bit of rock mixed with sand.
At 2 miles, you are at a large wash crossing, which you may need to walk. After the wash crossing, you come to the intersection of the
Orocopia Trail.
