Need to Know

Bonzai is the most fun if taken from Turquoise Mine Trail downhill to Orocopia Trail.

Description

It starts near on the Orocopia Trail near the Christian Service Center. You can also get on it by riding the power line road to the west from Fergusion Lake Road.

At 1/2 mile there is a trail to the left that will connect you to the lower section of the Orocopia Trail. The next 1/2 is fast and flowing.

At 1 mile there is another trail to the right connecting the Marvin Mesa trail. From here you get a bit more fast and flowing until you come a place where the Pi trail crosses.

At 1.7 miles you cross a large wash which is not a problem if you keep your speed. You then start climbing going through some interesting scenery. You'll ride on the Razorback a strange place for a trail.

Your reach the top soon and cross a large flat rock field which is common for trails at Senator wash. At 2.5 miles you reach the end of Bonzai as it intersects with the Turquoise Mine Trail. The Turquoise mine trail goes west and east.

To the west is the Brain, Scary, Byway and Hi Chopper Trails. To the east is back to the Pi and Medallion Trails.
