Overview

Description

You can access this trail from the alternative trailhead or just continue your lap if you are already coming from the Water Tower Trail. If you are continuing on from the Water Tower Trail, take a left where the trail splits. It starts at a small bridge then splits.

If you want to skip a short climb turn left after the bridge. Continue straight if you want to add a short climb and add a little vertical to the downhill. The trail will then take a short descent, then turn back up. The trail will then cut back and forth until it comes to a short but steep climb.

It flattens out at the top of this climb and then continues on until it splits again. If you take a right it will empty into a parking lot for an apartment complex. If you hang a left it will continue on to the Buc Ridge Trail.

Cade’s cove allows vehicles to drive at 7:45 am during the late summer early autumn. Best departure times are before 7:00 am. Lots of wildlife. 11mi
