Vail
Local Info
When locals to refer to riding in Eagle County they often use the terms 'Up Valley and Down Valley'.
Up Valley is all about the quintessential aspen and alpine singletrack that Colorado is known for. Vail is at the epicenter. Rides like Meadow Mountain / Line Shack and Whiskey Creek and Bowmans Shortcut to Two Elk are classic. For some new school gravity riding on Vail Mountain, check out Radio Flyer and Big Mamba.
Down Valley is much drier and has a longer riding season. From mid-April to possibly October, mountain bikers can enjoy high sage desert riding. Don't miss the Boneyard Loop and Eagle Ranch Loops, super fun singletrack that surrounds the town of Eagle.
