Overview

The climbs are mostly easy on gravel roads while the downhills are on singletracks. The scenery from the top and all the way down is pretty spectacular.

Need to Know

Bring water on the loop since there are no brass taps!

Description

This is a very scenic ride with amazing views of the glaciers of Mont Blanc. The climbs are mostly on doubletrack roads with some sections that are a little bit steeper but overall a gentle climb.

At the top, there is a nice field where you can stop for a snack before starting the downhill. On the way down, you cross some old settlements while mostly riding on singletracks. The terrain is a mix of dirt and rocks.

History & Background

The trail passes by an old site where coal was made from wood.
