Description

Tuttletown has good flow in either direction, making it a great way to start and end your rides at Jake's Rocks.

Going counterclockwise, the first section out of the parking lot (after crossing the Scenic Drive Loop Road) twists through some mountain laurel, going up and down in short bursts. After you cross the Loop Road the second time, the trail hugs the edge of the plateau, giving you a few glimpses of the reservoir in the distance while cruising through ferns.

Around a mile and half later, the trail turns onto the plateau and traverses a very flat section before crossing FS Road 160 where Coal Knob begins or ends.
