Family Friendly Nature viewing, birds, fish, and wildlife. And easy, rolling trail through open space suitable for all ages.

Need to Know

The trail is paved from the South Platte junction north of Downtown to approximately Peoria street in Aurora. East of Peoria it turns to packed gravel/dirt rideable by most bikes in the summer and by wider tires in the winter/wet.

Between Chambers and Airport and again from the Tower to the terminus you can find sections of singletrack running off from the main path.

Description

This greenway connects the High Line Canal Trail in Aurora with the South Platte River Greenway in Commerce City.

The Sand Creek Regional Greenway is open 7 days per week from dawn until dusk. It is a multi-use trail where you can expect to share the trail with runners, walkers, horseback riders, and the occasional leashed dog.
