Overview

Meandering trails with a variety of scenery from nice neighborhoods to prairie and mountain views.

Description

From Columbine Park in Vista Highlands, take a neighborhood trail over Colorado National Golf Club and hand rail Sheridan down to the Broomfield Trail. Follow the trail until it ends on Sheridan. Take the road about a half mile to pick up the Lake Link Trail until it connects to the Coal Creek Trail.

Take that back north until the gravel ends at the paved Erie section of trail. To complete the loop, chug 1.5 miles up the ridge on neighborhood trails to return to Columbine Park.

Easy ride, about 20 miles total. Nice for a small workout or easy to pop off the trail in Lafayette or Erie for a beer.
