Description

The South Cheyenne Creek Trail begins off of FS Road 381, just past Frosty Shortcut #626 and on the right. Go down the trail marked FS 381A (sign) and follow the trail to the left (FS 381A will continue to the right).

The trail is doubletrack, steep, with lots of loose sand, gravel, and rocks.

At mile 0.9, trail maintenance ends as does the doubletrack. Expect bushwhacking and hike-a-bike for the next 0.2 mile until the trail begins again as singletrack.

Stay on the north side of the creek, follow the GPS coordinates, and the creek. At mile 1.1, cross the creek and the trail resumes as singletrack.

Maintenance still isn't great, with lots of downed trees and loose rock.

Follow the trail back to Gold Camp Road.
