Description

The Lower Salamander Trail meanders through a small creek bottom, crossing the creek twice. The features are rock gardens, tight switchbacks, and short, steep climbs out of the creek. It's a fun section that goes up the creek, loops around and then heads back to the start.

You can head back down to the restroom or you can bear to the right and hit the Dogwood Trail Access.

Lower section of Dogwood Trail along the creek. This is very near the one trailhead down along Beaver Creek. Many people hike/bike this section since it is so close to the creek and road.
