Toro Park hours are generally from 8 am to sunset. Trails may be closed in wet weather.

Description

To get to the trailhead, make your way through the main gate of Toro park and follow the paved road all the way back past the grassy picnic areas and finally up a steep paved climb to the Environmental/Nature Center. The trail is an old ranch road that begins from the back of the parking lot. Riders will first encounter a bit of a descent before passing through a green gate.

Once past the green gate, you start climbing. This trail takes you to the highest points in Toro Park including Ollason Peak aka 1800, and beyond. Just after 1800, there is a steep descent.

If you take a left at the bottom of this descent you'll head to the Pipeline Trail, which is a black diamond technical trail (good fun, but stay focused) or back down via Coyote Sprint or Whale Trail and then down Cougar or Toyon Ridge.

For a bigger climb keep straight and continue on up toward Black Mountain.

Climbing up Sh*t hill. This is a tough climb (steeper than the photo looks) but totally worth getting to the top. Great views along the way and the top of the hill is at 1,800'.
