Overview

The flowy downhill sections seem long in comparison to the short lung burning moderately technical climbs.

Description

There are many other trails to ride within this park but I believe this loop has the most singletrack and excitement to offer.

The trail isn't particularly technical other than a) the climb up Santa Rosa which has some tight switchbacks combined with 3-4" boulders that you'll need to lift that front tire over while cornering uphill, b) the ride down Santa Rosa which is super fast but has many obstacles in the form of sharp pumas rock and some tight switchbacks which can sneak up on you, and c) the last steep climb up Box Canyon and the beginning of Lizard Rock are short steep muthas.

It's worth it because once you reach the top of Lizard Rock, you are rewarded a second time with a fast flowy section down to where the Wastwater Treatment plant begins. So much fun.
