From the south, there is an early steep rutted downhill section which is followed by one big climb to highest point in the preserve and the southern end of East Ridge. From this point, the trail heads left along the top of a ridge to reach Beaumont Ridge. The singletrack is narrow and fast.

In the opposite direction, West Ridge is a long rolling climb up the ridge before it continues more easily up to the high-point. The end in one final descent and climb to the overlook next to Jedi.
