Description

Trail can be accessed from River Road, Henryton or Marriottsville, with parking at all three. The section between River Road and Henryton is traveled more frequently by hikers and horseback, but has some nice flowing singletrack sections. Several small stream crossings with rocks and roots to test your bike control.

The section from Henryton to Marriottsville is traveled less but is clearly defined. This portion offers more challenging terrain, some of the hills are washed out so hike-a-bike up, but hitting it on the way back is a blast. If coming in from Marriotsville, park at the tracks, then head towards Sykesville and cross over the tracks about 100 yards in.

There are several spurs off the main path along the way, most of which just double back so you "can't" get lost. These spurs are not included on this trail map.

Trail was easy to see and fun with no leaves on the trees. Ground was frozen so it was solid riding 8mi — 1h 30m

Way to muddy... Please stay off this trail until it dries out witch will be a long time. The Patapsco has flooded this trail beyond its capabilities.
