Some Mud - Not too much mud or horse droppings except from Clarksburg rd to Western Piedmont section. That section’s bad. History

Overview

The Little Bennett Ride follows fast and fun singletrack trails through lush, wooded forests and colorful, open meadows. All-in-all, this is a great figure-8 loop with fun connecting trails throughout.

Need to Know

There is a creek crossing that can be fun.

Description

The trails at Little Bennett Regional Park can be ridden in various ways, but this is a good sampler to get you started. Both wet and dry, it has a ton of fast and fun areas. Dry, it can be super fast and wet, it has some sloppy areas that get beat up but create some fun situations.

Little Bennett is primarily singletrack but there are a few rocky sections and some gravel roads. There are a few parking areas with connector trails from each. Try starting at different areas to mix it up a little. The area is open to horses and hikers, so both need to be respected. There is also a hiking/running-only section that should be respected as well.

Trail is holding on through out all this rain. Some mud puddles but you can go around them. Singletrack is a bit washed out exposing more rocks. 6mi

The horse riders are rude and aggressive. They do not want bikes using the trails and generally treat you as such. Common trail courtesy is not something they understand or attempt to understand. There’s also more horse poop than exposed dirt on the trails. Jul 7, 2018
