Description

Back Door is an HTF classic that will take you from the town forest to Carse Hills via Henry's Highlands or vice versa. Back Door begins with a steep, techy climb up from Economou Road near the Hayden Hill West trailhead in HTF.

There are several puncheon bridges in the beginning. After the trail passes the left-hand turn for Missing Link, continue straight up the hill. After some switchbacks, you'll crest the hill. Go downhill for a few hundred yards and Back Door will take a right (Dragon's Tail is the trail straight ahead).

The downhill from HTF towards Carse is fast and tight! Overall, an old school singetrack that has some nice straightaway sections. When the trail comes to a 4-way junction at the bottom, stay right, go through the steam, and you'll pop out onto Lincoln Hill Road.

To pick up Henry's Highlands and enter Carse Hills, take a left down Lincoln Hill Road (downhill). The entrance to Henry's Highlands is on your right in a large field.
