Overview
Need to Know
Stay off the US Government property (Camp Johnson) on the
East Loop side and along the access trail!!
Description
A nice way to spend an hour (more or less). The ride is a nice mix of intermediate and advance intermediate trails with sandy well drained soil, smooth berms, and great bridges especially on
Triborough Bridges.
As shown the ride has you starting out on the easy
East Loop and then diving down into the hollow on smooth climbing turns of
Brooke Crossing. You'll ride up
Moose Hill, which can be challenging, and up on to the
North Plateau. You can loop around the plateau several times if you like and then ride
Western Slope to the swoopy
Outer Limits and loop around that a few times.
After
Outer Limits, continue down on
Western Slope to
Triborough Bridges and enjoy the berms and bridges on the way to
Teardrop. You'll end up back on
Triborough Bridges riding back to
Western Slope,
Brooke Crossing, and
East Loop. To finish the ride cross the bridge you entered on and stay right to ride
Blueberry Loop as fast as you can :). It is really quite a fun green loop when ridden fast!
This place is the "Go To" trail system for urban Burlington area. It drains really well and is easy to get to. Thanks Fellowship of the Wheel and the Town of Colchester.
