Description

From the Bear Creek Staging area, pass through gate and ascend through a shaded canyon to the junction with the Mott Peak Trail. The road is graded and graveled to the campsites located about a mile up.

As you continue, you'll pass the Santos Trail to the left and restrooms which ends the gravel portion of this route. You'll immediately hit a dirt (or mud) wall. The trail continues ascending towards the ridge with one final steep pitch to the gate at the Briones Crest Trail.
