A smooth trail that gradually descends along a rolling ridgetop.

Overview

Description

Take the fire road directly above the water tower a few minutes up until you find a nice singletrack trail leading south. From here, enjoy the consistency of this singletrack for a nice ride that leads to the mouth of Telegraph Canyon. It is completely exposed and usually hard packed, but the winter rains can make it wonderfully green.

This is one of the better trails in CHSP, but it needs more riders! The construction on this end of the park has lead to its neglect, and the tumbleweeds have begun to encroach upon the trail. Get out and ride it!

Lovely non-technical singletrack descent into the park. The trailbed itself is in great shape but the tumbleweeds and other assorted dead grassland plants need a good beating-back. Fantastic views the whole way down. (11/16/2015) Nov 16, 2015

This is my most beloved trail. I grew up in Chino Hills and have ridden Bane Ridge more than any trail I've ever ridden. Although not technically difficult it has great short workout climbs and some fast semi flows downhill. It's a great trail to loop over again too. I live in Nor Cal now and ride more epic trails than I did back home, but when I do visit my home town, I always make time for my favorite CHSP trail. Sep 22, 2016
First ride there today. It's more or less what I expected but with a bit more uphill at the beginning than I thought. Gotta work on my climb... You can tell it's not very often riden on as in some session there are pointy bushes. Hope the management can take care of those. And I don't quite like the ripples on the downhill especially at the end, thought my $400 hardtail gonna break... Maybe not a problem for better bikes. Overall it's good probably will come once a while. After this trail, I decided to ride back through East Fenceline, and it was trashed... Bushes everywhere... So I think Bane Ridge Trail is the best trail in CHSP. Sep 30, 2016
