A looping, alternative climb to Tabeguache Trail in the Lunch Loops.

D L

Dogs Off-leash

Features -none-

Description

Pet-e-Kes begins on the Eagle's Tail trail at the first major switchback and climbs to High Noon Trail. There is also a midpoint connection to Tabeguache Trail.

Riders primarily use this as a climbing trail, so please respect local use and don't descend Pet-e-Kes on a busy weekend.

The trail is typical for the area: winding, rocky, and technical. Every turn seems to hide a technical spurt over rocks. The trail is quite fun and apart from Tabeguache Trail, the most direct connection to the two lower Lunch Loops downhill only trails: Holy Cross and Pucker Up.
