Trail shared by Dave Gregg

A scenic, bumpy singletrack, straight and mild in the north, sloped and twisting in the south.

Description

The longest "spoke" connecting Telegraph Canyon and South Ridge, this singletrack starts behind the benches at Four Corners. It cuts a straight line south, through a grassy field, leading uphill to a "cut" between scenic hills rising on either side. The end of the cut is slightly technical with a few easy, chunky things. There are short downs and ups mixed with turns, and there is a short "don't slip down to the right" section.

Oh yeah, the bumps. My guess is after it rains, when the ground is soft, hikers and horses create deep prints and depressions. These turn into concrete when everything dries up, then the edges wear down and you're left with a trail full of smooth dimples that absolutely pound on the behinds of hardtail bike owners. No bueno.
