A lot of poison oak along the trail, so be careful or wear long pants. Many bushes of it: low and high to waist level. History

Getting forecast...

Fort Ord National Monument trails are closed from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise.

Description

This trail starts at the end of Sandstone Ridge Road and the top of trail 60. It follows the ridge and has three steep rutted sections (the best lines are usually to the far right or left and beginners usually walk). The trail overlooks Merrill Ranch and has great views of Salinas Valley.

At the end there's a steep sandy section (weight back and no front brake) that drops into Crescent Bluff Road.
