Overview

Surrounding Puddingstone Reservoir in Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, this is the 9.4-mile inside loop that can be used as an alternative to the Bonelli Trail loop.

Need to Know

There's a creek crossing on the backside between Rocky Trail and North Shore Trail. It is managed well, rarely deep and usually easily crossed. After exiting Lower Vargas Trail, you'll have to get on the road a little to get to Fisherman Trail. After exiting Fisherman Trail, you may have to hop over the center divider to get to Bonelli Connector.

Description

You can start from Antonvich Trail or Brackett Airport. This loop is nearly identical to Bonelli Trail except that this loop will bypass the Walnut Trail, Upper Bee Hive Trail and Lower Bee Hive Trail climbs that do not have a rewarding descent and instead uses Lower Vargas Trail and Fisherman Trail trail to connect to the western part of the loop.

The southern part of the loop will utilize Park View Trail, which is a singletrack trail that takes you through a rock garden then onto finish your loop using either Corkscrew or Rocky Trail.
