This is a more rustic doubletrack that runs below Monte San Giorgio (1097 m; 3600 ft) near the Alpe di Brusino. Alpe di Brusino is a clearing in the forest with a great overlook of Lago di Lugano and Monte San Salvatore across the lake. The Rifugio Alpe di Brusino mountain hut serves food and drinks. The road makes a short loop with Via Serpiano.

Monte San Giorgio, lying to the south of this forest road, dominates the local area. Monte San Giorgio is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the exceptional nature of the fossils that have been found in the area.
