Description

The top of Hawkeye Trail begins on Mack Ridge above the hike-a-bike portage and descends to the Mack Trailhead, just off I-70. The trail includes many alternative lines and features incorporating rock outcrops, boulders, and cliffs.

From the trailhead, it offers a mellower climb to Mack Ridge than the alternative of climbing the Lion's Loop Road.

The trail intersects the midpoint of Mack Ridge just below a stunning ridge viewpoint. Ride east to access Moore Fun, Mary's Loop, Steve's Loop or the eastern end of Lion's Loop. Ride west to the western end of Lion's Loop or Troy Built.
