Doesn't have the views of Loma Alta, but otherwise a more interesting route than grinding straight over the top.

Description

A little-traveled, back-side fire road. Can be part of a Loma Alta loop or an alternate for connecting through. It has almost no shade, like going over the top.

Note the name is shown as Loma Alta Fire Road on some maps, which is confusing because the road over the top is also called Loma Alta Fire Road. The name used here is that on the Marinwood map, which makes more sense. Particularly because there are signs at various entries in the area in the late summer noticing that deer hunting season is on.

Marin County Parks is given as the land manager because it manages access to the trail, but the trail itself goes through private land.
