Description

What a sweet trail! Made my trip to Ojo awesome. A local called it the "Outer Limits" and showed me where it is drawn on a topo map. I found it easily from the connector loops off of the Rincon Trail. Well-worn from riders, but loose and dry in some areas, it starts with a bang of a climb followed by a fast descent along a ridge.

More climbs and short drops weaving in and out of dry arroyos, up some steep and rocky hills each rewarded with a rippin' downhill. The views of the desert and mountains in the distance are incredible! There wasn't any water and it was hot when I was riding early in the morning before 11:00 a.m., mid-July.

I rode clockwise but the other way would be fun and might be better if you want longer downhills. An adventurous ride, not a real long trail, but the climbs make it feel like it is, especially with the desert heat.

I rode CCW. This trail might be better if were ridden more. Very soft and MANY junctions that are not on MTB or marked. Would not ride again.
