Created by the Chuckwagon Trail Riders of New Mexico, this route has been long forgotten, but it is witnessing a comeback. The full loop is bisected by the CDT and while the west section has the views, this east loop has the solitude and ample opportunity for adventure.

For the most part, the route follows old two-tracks that have largely returned to singletrack characteristics. Expect little maintenance, more than a few downed trees, lots of rough trail, and occasional route finding – though sections are surprisingly well-signed.

Access it from the CDT: Hopewell to Lagunitas (CDT Section 30) or from FR80 to the east.
