Overview

The Livingston County Trail System (LCTS) is over 15 miles of dirt singletrack, 6.5 miles of Gravel, and 2.2 miles of asphalt trails on public use land managed by Livingston County. The park also features a new Skills/Pump Track area next door to the Minit Mart gas station at the main trailhead entrance.

Need to Know

The main trailhead is directly behind the Hotel and Service Station at I-24 Exit 31 on the dead end street past the RV campground. The bike trail system is relatively new and currently has a portable restroom on site. The Service Station is within sight of the main trailhead.

Description

This trail system was constructed with the ultimate "multi-use" mindset. Some sections are tight and twisty singletrack dirt surface. Other sections are flowing stone surface trails, while some sections are paved with asphalt for leisure riding or hiking. With a dedicated trail team continuously working, one thing is for certain: the system is under constant expansion with ambitious goals of upcoming obstacles and cool features.

The landscape features hardwood timbers, pine thickets, old home places, ponds, etc. Most of it is easily negotiated by an experienced rider, but there are a few challenging lines with tight corners and a couple of very steep and long, lung-busting climbs. With multiple trailhead entry points, this trail system isn't just a loop and can be ridden in multiple ways with multiple line combinations. A quick study of the map and surrounding areas make it impossible to get lost.

Not marked very, bit of off camber, but pretty easy course. Reading trail through leaves is a great idea 10mi — 2h 07m
