Description

Old River Road is a wide gravel county road. It forms an essential part of the Fried Green Tomatoes route which mostly utilizes gravel roads in the neighboring Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. As you approach Juliette, the road follows the Ocmulgee River for a short distance. Near the end, a short path leads down to an impressive view of the dam with Juliette, GA just across the river.

Juliette, GA is famous as the set of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes.
