Family Friendly A mellow loop that's a good place to improve skills.

Riders must wear helmets. Also there is a $5 fee per vehicle to enter the park which includes showers in the campground. Check here for updated rates.

Overview

This is some of the most demanding singletrack in central Georgia with great climbs and fast downhills.

Description

Arrowhead Park is located on Columbus Road near US 80. It is open year-round and offers clean, spacious campsites that can accommodate tent or RV campers and lake access.

This is one of two loops that are well-marked. The five-mile Beginner Loop (marked with yellow blazes) is a good, challenging ride. Expect clay to sandy trails, some roots and rocks, and climbs that are rewarded with good downhills. Any red arrows will take you on the more advanced loops and add distance and challenges.

To reach the trailhead, you'll take the first paved road to your left once you enter the park; at the bottom of the hill, you'll see the trail kiosk with the Advanced Loop starting to the left of the bathrooms. To reach the Beginner trailhead, you'll need to ride up the road a few hundred feet and you'll see the trailhead on your left.

History & Background

This trail system was originally developed back in 2001 but was destroyed by the Mother's Day tornado of 2008. Through the hard work of the Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association and Bibb County, the trail system has been redesigned and rebuilt. The new trail opened up in 2011 and is better than ever!
