Trails are open from sunrise to 10:00 p.m. Don't ride trails when wet or muddy.

Description

This trail starts at marker 4 with a bit of a short-but-wicked climb. The climb is laced with roots in all the wrong places, but with a little power and finesse, you can clean it. After that, it's pretty smooth sailing along (and hopefully not in!) the creek.

The first intersection you'll reach (at marker 5) is the shortcut 24 to 5 to access Huff 'n Puff Trail or to return to the parking lot. Sandy Creek Trail ends at the next intersection (marker 6), but you can continue to follow the creek on Brownlee Trail, which loops you back to marker 6.

Shortly after marker 5, you'll come to a new (2021) bridge (Dauset Connector) that allows you to connect to the new (2020) Jackson Woods trails north of Sandy Creek. These trails are a bit mellower than those at Dauset proper but definitely worth it.
