Description

This section of the Red Bud Trail is awaiting completion, but is open for use. While it's a doubletrack, the loose gravel that's on the surface is worn out as a singletrack; it's kinda interesting. The whole section is uphill traveling east, so it's a better workout if you head this direction.

This trail crosses five major roads and none are marked for safe crossing; use caution at these locations. In addition to the sketchy street crossings, there are several bridges that have erosion issues. Watch out for these.

Notice the single worn path...all the rest is loose gravel that is pretty soft.

This is a nice climb if you're traveling south.

Connection to the Red Bud trail! The lights for crossing Woodlawn are NOT stoplights, only warning lights. Use caution.

Here's a good look at that loose gravel...it's all good riding the worn path until you meet another rider going the opposite direction!

From the look of the single-worn path, I would guess most people ride this heading west and come back some other way... It is downhill this direction, and pretty easy riding.

This one's a doozy! I'll bet it's 20' down to the creek!
