Turkey Trail starts at the Cottonwood Picnic Area and runs east along the Cimarron River. About half way through, it passes through Cimarron Campground. The trail meanders along the bottomland area through big cottonwoods.
The route is doubletrack and slightly downhill going east. Although the trail itself is not exciting, the surrounding landscape is quite beautiful with plenty of opportunities to see wildlife.
Trail is overgrown half way through. Rerouted on road 603B and crossed river to the north and road gravel road. Can ride the river bed when dry.
