Overview

A very nice singletrack loop with some hill climbs that overlaps with sections of the Potawatomi Trail.

Need to Know

I felt safe riding this alone due to the amount of people riding the trail.

Description

This is a good route that can be ridden at a steady pace. The trails are one-way for bikes so please follow the directionality as to respect the fellow trail users.

The loop starts off as a really awesome black dirt singletrack with a couple of tree root jumps. This is a fast moving trail with a couple of really good hill climbs. One of hill climbs on the Crooked Lake section seems to go on forever.

About half way, you start to see some sand and this is the best feature where a fat bike really shines. The trails in this area can be really good for wider tires as I have seen guys with dirt all across their backs at the trailhead, where they came in too hot and wash out on a sandy corner.

The trails are constantly maintained but downed trees can sometimes be found along the route. Enjoy!

Trail is clear. Lots of root drop offs on the downhills. Watch out for sand at bottom of hills heading into turns. 5.8mi
