Stagecoach South Trail has three personalities depending on the section traversed.

Section 1: Nix to 73 Underpass
The trail starts from the south side of the LCWP Nix parking lot and immediately begins short switchbacks until you are more than halfway up to the ridge. The switchbacks near Nix are sharp with a few steep parts but nothing too hard, it just takes a little perseverance. This part is popular with hikers and bikers coming in either direction. The track eases out as it moves across the midline of the ridge, then descends near the intersection of LCR and 73. If you are going south and descending near the highway intersection, this part of the trail has some medium sized rocks that dot the middle of it. However the lower part of this section is smoother and flowy.

At the south end of this trail, finding the continuation is a little difficult. You basically turn right after you are down the hill (the sign says "Camarillo"), ride through a tiny ravine with a gate, then take a left onto Stagecoach South (sign posted at this intersection).

Section 2: 73 Underpass to LCWP Willow Canyon Parking Lot
This may be the toughest part of the trail, with a noticeably narrower singletrack (or at least it's less maintained), dense brush in places, steeper, short switchbacks, quick inclines and quick descents. Watch for hikers.

Section 3: Willow Canyon Parking Lot to Big Bend Canyon Parking Lot
This is the easiest and shortest section. It can be a hard to find if you are coming from either direction. In order to find the continuation of Stagecoach, you need to ride through the parking lot. This section is a doubletrack that closely parallels the main road. Unlike the first two sections, this one is more of a point-to-point connector than a "fun" trail.
