Description

The eastern portion of the McMenemy Trail is most frequently ridden as part of the Girard/McMenemy DH. Upper Mcmenemy from Hot Springs Road to the junction with Girard Trail is not as frequently ridden and has a challenging climb followed by blind technical switchbacks.

The portion of this trail from its connection with Girard Trail heading east is open with great views and some fun, tight switchbacks starting from the junction the Girard Trail. The lower portion winds through a eucalyptus grove, connecting to the San Ysidro Trail.
