Description

This road is also known as Kenter. It traverses between Dirt Mulholland and either the top of Kenter or Teakwood Rd. Can be ridden as a climb or descent.

To climb: ride or drive to the top of Kenter and take the trail up past power poles or to the left alongside them. Stay on the fire road up past another water tank and the trail levels off on asphalt before dropping into Mountain Gate. Ride along the top street and exit the community at the tennis courts and continue the climb up to Dirt Mulholland. At this point, you can ride up to the Nike Missile Base park (San Vicente Park) to make a loop by connecting to Westridge Singletrack or Sullivan Canyon or Sullivan Fire Trail .

To descend, find the top of the trail by the blockhouse gate on Dirt Mulholland and ride through Mountain Gate. Near the bottom of the trail you'll see a small side trail going off to the right, near a new concrete retaining wall. These are the famous Kenter bumps, aka the Whoops. They go through a sweet pump track section and connect up with the asphalt road above Brentwood Estates. Take the asphalt for 30 seconds and peel off to the right alongside an ivy-covered chain link fence that abuts the community below. Fun singletrack that spills out onto Teakwood.

Loved this part of the downhill! The Canyon Back singletrack is a treat, especially in the trees!
