This is primarily a downhill trail.

Description

Sidewinder is a fast downhill from north to south with an average grade of 8% taking you from Rusty Spur to the Moab Canyon Paved Path.

Departing Rusty Spur, beware of a cattle guard and unexpected sharp and blind turns around rock outcroppings on your way down. After crossing the first wash, you'll climb up a steep slickrock incline only to again descend into another wash. A more gradual climb eventually dumps you out onto the Moab Canyon Paved Path.
