Bikes are only allowed on this trail from the trailhead (off Limantour Spit Rd.) to Coast Camp.

Description

From the trailhead on Limantour Spit Road, roll gently downhill through coastal scrub towards the ocean. The trail here is sunny doubletrack with improving views. Ride parallel to the ocean on grassy bluffs overlooking the beautiful sand of Santa Maria Beach. Take a sharp hairpin bend inland to cross Santa Maria Creek and arrive at Coast Camp for permitted backpackers. This is as far as bikers are allowed to bike on this trail. So, either turn around here, or proceed on foot. Water and bathrooms are available at Coast Camp.
