This trail starts tame enough... but it shortly becomes one of the (if not the) hardest TBV trails.

Description

The longest trail in Trout Brook Valley, the White Trail spans almost all of the valley from south to north. If you're looking for an old school, East Coast, rock-infested joy ride, this trail is for you.

From the Bradley parking lot, follow White Trail as it heads North as a gravel doubletrack. Shortly after, it pitches uphill, quickly becoming gnarly, rock-filled singletrack. If this is more your style, keep going... :)

After topping crossing Green Trail and passing an intersection with Orange Trail, it continues uphill, following Hawleys Brook the entire way. After finally topping out the trail turns east, then sharply heads north again, this time through immense rocks. Watch your pedal stroke here!

Between the Red/White Trail and the Red Loop, you'll have an awesome viewpoint. Take it all in; you've earned it.

From here the trail heads uphill a little more and intersects with the Red Loop atop a small ridge. This is what East Coast singletrack is all about, winding, rocky, and beautiful. The moss in this area is especially aesthetically pleasing.

Now atop the ridge, the trail undulates, finally leaving the immense rock gardens. If you're game for the rest of the trail, pass the Green/White (Peter's Trail) and descend to the Jump Hill parking lot. This part is nice for a rest - there aren't any rocks!

Looking up the trail, about half way up. One of many rocky sections later on.
