Description

Bobcat was one of the last trails to be built by GBCTA and the trail-builders had really honed their skills into an art form. This trail has many berms, table-tops, whoops and bumps in addition to magnificent views of the mountains to the west. There's nothing too technical and it can be ridden as slow or fast as makes you happy.

Until Snakes & Ladders hopefully gets built to the north in the future, this trail is the only singletrack connection between West Bragg Creek and Station Flats. It opens up all sorts of options for extended loops, especially as it makes just as good a climb as it does a descent.

The average grade is a consistent & fairly gentle 7% so it's a lot easier to climb than Sugar Mama (which makes a better choice for the descent). Having said that, this trail demands to be ridden down as well as up. An out-and-back from Station Flats via Ridgeback makes a good alternative (also 16km) to the Ridge Ranger loop.
