Description

From FSR 469, this trail is nice relief from doubletrack, but is more UP. Be ready to continue climbing. The forest is very lush on this stretch and the trail goes through huge rhododendron thickets and across several outcroppings of rock. When you get to the switchbacks at the top, you'll be almost be there.

When topping this out, you'll be at the intersection with the MST and Woods Mountain Trail, and a nice open space to take another break.

Bad Fork is easy to miss from FSR 469. It all looks the same, and you'll probably be tired by the time you get there, so keep a sharp look out for this. It will appear on the left approximately 2 miles past the last gate. The trail to the right is also Bad Fork, but designated hike only on that side of the road.
