Similar to the Apex Loop, but adding in the technical trails.
Start off from the north trailhead off of Brenner Place. You'll see a wooden sign for Greencrest. Follow this sign onto Jedi to start the course.
At mile 0.63, you'll meet up with Greencrest under a power line, and continue straight. About 100 feet later, you'll reach a Y-intersection; take the left. Then, at mile 0.72, you'll have a big intersection, and you'll turn towards the electrical tower that has a new trail under it.
Take the new trail to its end at mile 0.92, stay right to stay below the picnic table towards the gate and Paseo Rd. Hug the shoulder to the left and look for signs to stay on Greencrest to descend towards the dog park.
At mile 1.15, you'll hit a parking lot and continue straight. At mile 1.5, look for a doubletrack exit to the left. Climb towards Paseo Road and take a right onto Paseo.
At mile 2, look for trail access on the left (see a no parking sign) onto Kinnickinnick, and continue left to head downhill. Mile 2.3 comes quickly into another parking lot/trailhead. Stay right to continue onto Kinnickinnick. Climb to mile 2.6 to take a left at the T-intersection.
Pedal for a bit to the exposed bluff section on your left. You'll eventually climb up to your right at mile 2.9. NOT the first singletrack, but a little further. Dig in as it's steep with sections of tech until mile 3.
You'll hit Grandview Rd, stay straight/left toward the overlook. You'll take it all the way to complete a clockwise circle around the gazebo to come back towards Grandview trail on your left at mile 3.55.
After a little tech, look for
Cheyenne Trail on your left at mile 3.65 with a stout entrance move. Have fun for the next bit as the trail will challenge you.
Mile 4.2, take a left switchback, armored turn towards Grandview trail. Mile 4.3 will spit you onto a sandwash, take the right to climb Grandview.
After some relief, you'll hit a spur of
Cheyenne Trail at mile 5.05, quickly after an open section. Choose your drop to the right, and stay right into the solid-rock drainage.
Mile 5.25 will have a gradual left turn with diffuse trails after a root step up. Look for a trail along the contour heading south to keep on track.
At mile 5.55, you'll intersect Grandview again, head right, but keep a lookout for a connector onto Grandview Rd. to your left at mile 5.65. Stay on the road for a quick clip to drop off to the right onto a dirt doubletrack at mile 5.7. Look for Kinnickinnick through the immediate parking spots straight ahead.
Mile 5.9 comes quickly with an alternative of Kinnickinnick. Take the right to follow the contour towards another doubletrack pull off at mile 6, then to cross Paseo road onto
Grandview Trail with a left turn.
Grandview is nice until 6.25, when you'll have a long, left turn into a steep, rooted, loose climb onto a dirt road to cross onto Edna Mae. This has many connectors and crossovers. You're looking to stay on Edna Mae
Connector to Upper Mesa.
You'll leave Edna Mae at mile 6.68 to take a right onto Upper Mesa at a nice overlook with a picnic table on your left. At the next intersection, take the right onto the doubletrack, then make a gradual left with two quick left turns into a drop at mile 6.87. Have fun with this twisty, narrow bit.
Stay left at mile 7 to enjoy the joys of Palmer. You'll take a right at mile 7.37 to climb to Mesa and a quick connector to Yucca. Now for a chance to eat a quick bite and drink before the next tech.
Next y-intersection at mile 8.25, stay left onto Yucca back towards the car lot for the dog park. Look for a fence near mile 8.5 to drop to your left onto Lazy Land. Keep dropping left to have fun.
After the quick, built-up right-left switchbacks at mile 8.85, leave the trail to the right to climb LazyLand Rd. Mile 9.1 will have a gate, stay left, and drift left onto a dirt track towards some rock features. Go over them.
You'll pass several picnic areas with features to navigate.
