“A nice climb and a lot of rocks get you to a spectacular view of Pikes Peak.
— Jon Zanone
Grandview delivers on its name. The trail terminates at an overlook that offers spectacular views of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods and downtown Colorado Springs. You'll find some buff singletrack and lots of hikers and horses. The sightlines are pretty good, so keep your head up and slow down for other trail users.
If you follow the directions on the app and park at Paseo Rd trailhead, you'll be starting out on a wide path which has thick sand in spots. Push your way past this as once you hit the singletrack, you'll find some nice features and have fun on the slickrock. There are some challenging sections mixed in to keep life interesting but also some fun for the less advanced rider. Palmer Park labels this green but I agree with the Intermediate label above due to these few technical sections.
This trail connects to others but I found the connections confusing. Study up if you want to continue on to other Palmer trails. Otherwise, this is an Out and Back.
